Academic programmes are established on four Foundational Principles – Spirituality, i.e., the curricula is conducive to the inner-refinement and self-unfoldment of the individual; Purity, i.e., focus on deriving knowledge from the source without any dilution or conditioning; Practicality, i.e., the courses are structured to make Indian knowledge traditions applicable in modern day; and Innovation, i.e., the programmes foster innovative thinking in the students through creative teaching methodology and research.
Any degree programme at Chinmaya University, is divided into three parts. Foundation, Major, and Minor courses. The Foundation courses are common to all Chinmaya University students, and ensure all students imbibe the knowledge sets that will set them apart through inner-refinement and self-unfoldment. The Major courses provide students with the core of their degree programme, bringing them to a world-class standard of knowledge in their chosen area of specialisation. Finally, the Minor courses add key passion driven skill-sets that differentiate the degrees offered at each campus and allow a student to personalize their programme. Proficiency enhancing courses and Life transformation courses add a blend of uniqueness to the knowledge and personality of the students.
