Bhuvaneshwari holds a Ph.D degree in Indian Philosophy-Sanskrit from the Department of Sanskrit, University of Madras. She completed her Post-Doctoral research in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT-Madras. She is part of the Śrīmad Bhāgavata Purāṇa research project of Oxford Centre of Hindu Studies (OCHS), Oxford. She has published books on Advaita Vedānta viz., A Treatise of Advaita Vedānta (2013), The Pedagogical Concern (2015), An Ocean of Enquiry (2017). She was instrumental in bringing to light two unpublished manuscripts viz., Saṃnyāsavicāra (2016) and Advaitasiddhipatram (2018), published by The Adyar Library and Research Centre, Chennai. She has published over twenty research articles in reputed journals on Indian Philosophy and Aesthetics. She works on classical darśanas from the source texts in Sanskrit, Prakrit and Pālī. She has been working on portions of Abhinavabhāratī. She has keen interest in Hegelian Philosophy of Art (Aesthetics). She is a member of International Association of Aesthetics. She has been teaching Indian Philosophy and Aesthetics for over fifteen years in reputed institutions in Chennai. She is a classical dancer and has performed in both classical and Indian contemporary styles.
