  • Registrar

    • 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy
      Registrar or an equivalent post.

  • Dean of Faculties:

    The Dean of Faculties is the Head of Faculties in the University and a highly responsible position with the following responsibilities:

    • To provide overall academic leadership within the faculty and to coordinate the faculty’s strategic direction and in the process, represent the faculty at key fora in the university and integrate the faculty’s interests into the overall university strategy.
    • To chair the faculty committees, forums and Boards of Studies.
    • To enable budgetary allocations, including preparation of budgets for research, and have accountability and responsibility for monitoring all allocated budgets.
    • To ensure academic and administrative adherence to university statutes.
    • To be a member of Councils and relevant university committees.
    • To promote and support quality review and professional accreditation processes.
    • To promote and oversee appropriate elections within the faculty.
    • To foster and encourage academic research and faculty publications.

    Qualifications: PhD with excellent track record in the previous degree, with career advancement and 10 years’ experience as Professor in a multi-disciplinary university or reputed college with good knowledge of Sanskrit & Indian Knowledge Traditions (IKT). Candidates with experience or expertise in blending IKT with contemporary knowledge streams will be preferred. Prior experience in faculty leadership roles and administration is required.

  • Finance Officer:

    The Finance Officer heads all financial and accounting functions in the university and reports to the Registrar and Vice Chancellor. Persons with maturity and experience in handling F & A functions in educational institutions will be preferred. The functional roles include:

    • Assist the Registrar in setting up systems of financial operations and monitoring.
    • Assist the Registrar in setting up purchase and procurement systems.
    • Prepare periodic budgets and annual budgets for presentation to Board(s).
    • Delegate and monitor authority and responsibilities to the Accounts & Finance teams.
    • Periodic MIS reporting and supervise delegated actions by Accounts & Finance teams.
    • Prepare annual financial statements, liaise with all Auditors and all professionals.
    • Payroll management.
    • Convene meetings of the Finance Committee in consultation with VC.
    • Ensure statutory and organisation compliances as directed by management.

    Qualifications: Qualified Chartered Accountant with 8-10 years’ experience; or MBA Finance or M.Com with 15 years’ experience.

    • Must have independently established or monitored financial systems, experience in internal audit and/or audit management will be very useful.
    • Budgeting and control experience is essential.
    • Must have a grasp of understanding law and procedures.

    HR Manager :

    The HR Manager reports to the Registrar and is accountable for all University HR policies, administration, recruitment, compensation, compliance and reporting

    • Establish sound policies for all aspects of people management from recruitment to exit
    • Work with VC and Registrar to drive and manage all faculty, academic and non-teaching staff recruitment
    • Ensure compliance with all UGC mandated faculty pay, perks, leave and other required activities
    • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements with respect to labour laws in all locations where the CVV operates
    • Oversee and monitor appropriate diversity policies with respect to gender and other caste related topics with respect to pay, leave and work policies and requirements
    • Establish best practices in performance ainssessments and related incentives
    • Establish systems and policies for data capture, protection, retention and tracking at all stages of an employee’s tenure at CVV

    Qualifications

    • MBA or Masters in Social Work
    • Minimum 10-years experience in a University level role or Large corporation
    • Deep knowledge of labour laws and best practices in the field of HR management
    • Excels in establishing, optimizing and implementing HR process from recruitment to performance management to retirement / exits
    • Experience in managing HR IT systems in close collaboration with IT management
    • Experience in working at an academic institution is an advantage
    • Maximum age 50 years

    Compensation: 8-12 lacs, negotiable based on past experience and compensation
